SURVIVORS OF SUICIDE: The National Survivors of Suicide Awareness Day will host its 23rd annual candlelight vigil 6 p.m. Saturday at the River Church, 4257 Tod Ave. NW, Warren. The church was formerly Victory Christian Center. The event is being held in memory of Valerie Kopiak and all loved ones lost to suicide and is sponsored by Survivors of Suicide Support Group. 4-H KICKOFF: Trumbull County 4-H is helping youth paint a bright future in 2022-23 through leadership and hands-on learning experiences. The eighth annual Trumbull County 4-H kickoff will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Trumbull Career and Technical Center. The free event is for all ages and is sponsored by the Trumbull County 4-H Advisory Committee, which will share club information, showcase annual projects and share activities. Refreshments will be provided to attendees, and there will be door prizes and an informational take home bag for each family. The 2023 Trumbull 4-H enrollment deadline is April 1.

COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING: A community tree planting will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the STEAM Academy of Warren, 261 Elm Road. Volunteers are needed. WJWL FUNDRAISER: The GFWC Ohio Warren Junior Women’s League will host its annual champagne luncheon and style show Friday at the Eastwood Expo Center in Niles. THANKSGIVING POTLUCK: The Girard Multigenerational Center will host a Thanksgiving potluck luncheon noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The center will provide the turkey with those attending asked to bring their favorite side dish.

HOLIDAY SALE: The Harriet Taylor Upton House in Warren will host a holiday sale with a preview 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

COLLECTIONS PROGRAM: “Victorian Collections and Coffee,” the annual fall lecture series of the Sutliff Museum, will conclude 2 p.m. today in the Community Auditorium located inside Boscov’s in the Eastwood Mall. Joanne Fenn of the Kent State University Museum will teach the simple steps museums take to preserve their collections and how you can apply preventive conservation to protect your special items. BLOCKWATCH TO MEET: The Girard 2nd and 3rd wards block watch will meet 6 p.m. Thursday in the community room at the Girard Free Library. Guest speaker is Reynold Paolone, Girard City Council president.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Girard schools will host a Title I Community Engagement Night for students and their families Thursday at Prospect Elementary School. The theme is “One World. One Family.
