One Brooklyn– BP Adams Meets with Uzbek Leaders in Wake of Lower Manhattan Terror Attack


Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams convened an emergency meeting at Brooklyn Borough Hall with local Uzbek-American leaders in the wake of today’s terror attack in Lower Manhattan that killed eight people and injured 11 others.

There are tens of thousands of Uzbek immigrants who live in Brooklyn and the greater New York City metropolitan area. Borough President Adams, a 22-year veteran of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), and others will denounce this incident and emphasize the need for citywide unity, while discussing pressing issues of community safety and threats of radicalization.
