The Marvels star Iman Vellani has confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, in the series, and her character will be at the heart of the show. Vellani said: “We’ve done the whole thing. It was amazing. It was so much fun. And I love—there are a lot of cool characters in the Marvel Zombies show. And Kamala is kind of the center of the show.”

Vellani also referenced The Lord of the Rings while talking about the series to explain Kamala’s role, saying, “They described it to me, it’s like, ‘She’s basically the Frodo of the story.’ And I was like, ‘That’s amazing.’”

Marvel Zombies doesn’t have a confirmed premiere date, but it’s expected to debut later this year.
