First, there’s spin view, which enables users to see more of a video captured via AI glasses by turning their device.
The option enables viewers to get a more true-to-life experience of footage captured via AI glasses because the video extends as they turn the device. That could provide unique value in capturing footage.
There’s also multi-cam, which syncs video from both a user’s phone and their Meta AI glasses so the audience can see both perspectives at once.
This simplified multi-view set-up could be valuable for creating content that provides alternate perspectives, creating a more engaging viewer experience.
Finally, Meta added new glasses-specific editing tools in Instagram, which provide more ways to edit and revise content captured via the device.
Meta first previewed these features in June, but the company is now looking to raise awareness of these advanced creation tools as valuable add-ons for AI glasses users.
But as noted, negative sentiment around Meta glasses is growing as more stories of misuse emerge.
Reports have found that some users are deactivating the recording light on the device to record people without them knowing. That has resulted in victims having videos of themselves uploaded online without their consent.
Such concerns have sparked regulatory investigations in several regions.
Meanwhile, protest groups are also campaigning against the glasses.
