The Knicks are back! After their epic 2025-26 season that ended in a 94-90 championship victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the finals, New York’s beloved basketball titans return to kick off a new season at Madison Square Garden Tuesday, October 20 against the Philadelphia 76ers. And Baked by Melissa is celebrating with some limited edition, bite-sized Knicks cupcakes.
Made with an orange and blue tie-dyed vanilla cupcake base with vanilla frosting, topped with orange and blue sprinkles, the cupcakes come in 25-packs or six-packs, marked “Champions Forever,” at select locations, including MSG. For a limited time, fans can order them online or pickup at Baked by Melissa retail stores.
Last season, the Knicks earned their first championship in 53 years (since 1973) and finished with a 53-29 record. Led by team captain Jalen Brunson with Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and OG Anunoby, the team delivered in clutch moments, including mounting an NBA record breaking comeback in Game 4 of the finals against the Spurs at home, winning 107-106 following a 29-point deficit.
Tonight, the team makes its new season debut at 7 p.m., starting with pregame coverage at 6:30 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
