Nothing introduced Nothing OS 4.0 based on Android 16 back in September, and ever since then it’s been testing it with open beta builds. Of course, you may have been wondering when you should expect the stable, finalized version to start rolling out to Nothing’s phones.
The company has now provided an answer. The rollout will start on November 21. And it’s not just the rollout – Nothing promises we’ll also get a “full announcement” of Nothing OS 4.0 on that day, presumably offering up more details than were available in September.

The company unfortunately hasn’t mentioned whether it will roll out Nothing OS 4.0 to all of its supported phones at the same time or one at a time – we assume the latter since every other smartphone maker does it that way. If that’s the case, then we wouldn’t be surprised at all to see the Nothing Phone (3) be first in line to receive the update – after all, it is the company’s highest-end device to date.
