Spice up your Shabbat schedule with UHC’s new, twice-monthly Havdalah service – United Hebrew Congregation Terre Haute

We are delighted to invite you to a new ritual offering at UHC: a twice-monthly online Havdalah service — a short and meaningful way to close Shabbat together and welcome the week ahead.
Our first service will take place at at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, via Zoom.
Whether Havdalah is familiar to you or brand new, you are warmly invited to join this reflective, musical, and uplifting 30-minute gathering.
This new service is designed for everyone in our community.
Whether you’re gathering with family, lighting a candle on your own, or simply seeking connection and comfort at week’s end, you’ll find a peaceful space here.

Light a candle
While nothing is required to attend, you are invited to bring:
- A braided candle (or any candle you have)
- A small cup of wine or grape juice
- Something fragrant for spices — cinnamon, cloves, or a spice blend
We hope you’ll join us in trying on this new tradition, from your living room, kitchen table, or favorite chair. Come as you are, and let’s begin the week together.
B’shalom,
Steve & Lee
