One of the things that I loved about Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies was that we got to see a lot of Spider-Man swinging through New York City. These were some really cool sequences, but we really didn’t get to see much of that in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man films.
Well, according to a report from scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Spider-Man 4 will feature more of those cool web-swinging sequences that we saw when Raimi was making Spider-Man movies.
It’s also been reported that Peter Parker is “completely burying the life he had as Peter Parker and replacing it with the mantle of Spider-Man, as he’s haunted by his guilt from [No Way Home].”
It was previously reported: “The idea now moving forward is to give him a sense of independence. In his mind, Peter Parker is no more…but Spider-Man lives on.
“Since he has either lost or detached himself from everyone he’s ever loved, all he has to keep him going is being Spider-Man, whether the city loves him for it or not.
“And as the title of Spider-Man continues to consume Peter’s life little by little, Peter Parker will take a back seat and continue to fade from existence slowly.”
These are all rumors for now, so we’ll just have to wait and see how this all shakes out. But, there’s nothing wrong with seeing more of Spider-Man in swinging action!
Most of the rumors regarding the film recently have been focused on who might end up directing the movie.
The directors that have been mentioned include Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods), Sam Raimi (Spider-Man), Justin Lin (Fast and the Furious franchise), James Wan (Aquaman), John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein (Dungeons & Dragons), Adam Wingard (Godzilla x Kong), Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Batgirl, Ms. Marvel) and the highly unlikely Jon Favreau (Iron Man).
