Giancarlo Esposito has been teasing the mysterious character he plays in the MCU, and while he isn’t revealing much, some set photos previously surfaced offering out best look at him all decked out in costume.

Now today, a video has been released on social media showing Esposito in action as the actor is in production with the reshoots that are currently happening for Captain America: Brave New World.

Esposito is described as an “antagonist agent of chaos,” and the character is wearing tactical gear. In the video we see Esposito wielding a gun and he seems to be on the hunt.

It’s been confirmed that the character is a villain, and it’s safe to assume that Sam Wilson is one of the people he’s hunting.

Esposito has said in the past that he is playing an original character, and judging from this new info, he is obviously some kind of mercenary who’s on a mission to down Sam Wilson and his allies.

Some fans are speculating that he’s playing a villain from the comics named Machete. We’ll learn who he is playing when the movie is released on February 14, 2025.

In the film, Anthony Mackie is back in the role of Sam Wilson, who is now Captain America. The movie also stars Liv Tyler, Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, Rosa Salazar, Danny Ramirez, and Carl Lumbly.

Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) is directing the film from a script penned by Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman, both of whom wrote for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spellman will produce with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
