SCREAM VII Will Reportedly Feature a Big Time Jump and Launch a New Trilogy — GeekTyrant

Some new rumored details have been shared for Scream VII, which will see Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox return as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers.

The film will be directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, and the story is said to involve Sid’s two kids. Apparently, Sid and Gale will find themselves facing off with some kind of Ghostface cult.

According to insider Daniel Richtman, the story will involve a “big time jump” following the events of the last movie. The reason for this is so that that Sidney’s children have grown to appropriate slasher movie age.

It’s also reported that the film will be partially set in a new town that’s not Woodsboro, and that this next movie will launch a whole new trilogy.

I like the idea of a Ghostface cult going around terrorizing people, but none of this information has been officially confirmed.

It’s been reported in the past that Patrick Dempsey is in talks to reprise his role of Detective Mark Kincaid, who is also Sid’s husband, but that casting has yet to be confirmed.

I’m a big fan of this franchise and I’m curious to see how this next movie turns out. I am happy that Campbell will return in a much bigger capacity.

Upcoming return, the actress said: “Sidney Prescott is coming back! It’s always been such a blast and an honor to get to play Sidney in the Scream movies.

“My appreciation for these films and for what they have meant to me, has never waned. I’m very happy and proud to say I’ve been asked, in the most respectful way, to bring Sidney back to the screen and I couldn’t be more thrilled.”

What do you think about these lasted story details for Scream VII?
