A fantastic full trailer has been released for the FX series Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans. The anthology series was created by Ryan Murphy, and this season is adapted and written by Jon Robin Baitz, based on the bestselling book titled Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer. All of the episodes are directed by filmmaker Gus Van Sant (My Own Private Idaho, Good Will Hunting, Milk).
The incredible star-studded ensemble features Tom Hollander as Truman Capote, with Naomi Watts as Babe Paley, Diane Lane as Slim Keith, Chloë Sevigny as C.Z. Guest, Calista Flockhart as Lee Radziwill, Demi Moore as Ann Woodward, Molly Ringwald as Joanne Carson, plus Treat Williams, Joe Mantello, Russell Tovey, Jessica Lange, and Peter Scanavino.
The synopsis for this season of the series reads:
FX’s Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans tells the story of acclaimed writer Truman Capote (Tom Hollander), once a confidante to society’s most elite women, whom he nicknamed “the swans.” However, his act of betrayal effectively destroyed those relationships, banished him from high society and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover.
This looks like it’s going to be a fantastic season! The cast alone is bonkers, and the writing, based on the wild true story, also looks like it’s going to serve up some good TV. Check out the trailer below, and watch Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans on January 31st on FX.
