AUDI VS LANCIA Based on True Story — GeekTyrant

A trailer has been released for the Lionsgate racing movie, Race For Glory: Audi vs Lancia, starring Riccardo Scamarcio as rally driver Cesare Fiorio, Volker Bruch as racing champion Walter Röhrl, with Katie Clarkson-Hill, Esther Garrel, Giorgio Montanini, Gianmaria Martini, Haley Bennett, and Daniel Brühl as the German engineer Roland Gumpert, founder of the sports car manufacturer Apollo Automobil. In addition to starring, Scamarcio directed, produced and co-wrote the film alongside Fillippo Bologna and Stefano Mordini.

The film’s synopsis reads:

Feel the thrill of the road with this action-packed sports drama inspired by true events. Daniel Brühl and Riccardo Scamarcio co-star in a true David vs. Goliath story from sports history spotlighting the intense rivalry between Germany (Audi) and Italy (Lancia) at the 1983 Rally World Championships. Against all odds, Lancia battles to regain its former glory with an unbeatable combination of bold innovation and extraordinary courage.

This looks like it might be an interesting story, and the cast is pretty good as well. Check out the trailer below, and watch Race For Glory: Audi vs Lancia in theaters and on VOD on January 5th.
