1-11 Central Haughton Traction Elevators at Barnes Jewish Hospital South
These are the low-rise elevators in the crazy, CRAZY South Pavilion building of Barnes Jewish Hospital. Many times, I find these elevators to be simply unusable because they’re so busy. I tried to film the 12-18 elevators, but they were too crowded. I then waited for nearly five minutes as a group of people tried to ride these elevators. Once an elevator finally came, I stepped in and amazingly got an elevator to myself in less than a minute, and completed a full round trip without stopping! This was quite a rare experience.
This particular building is the large, wide grey building in the foreground of this photo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:JeffersonLake_BJC.jpg
It’s truly a beast of a hospital. Follow me on:
